Patricia L. (Straub) Neumyer Obituary (1940

Patricia L. (Straub) Neumyer 76 of Jamesburg died Wednesday April 12th at the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Born in Dauphin, Pa, Mrs. Neumyer lived in Harrisburg before moving to Jamesburg 55 years ago. She was employed for 10 years as a waitress at Mom's Peppermill, Hightstown and previously at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township. She was a former Deacon of the Jamesburg Presbyterian church, a former member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Jamesburg Elks Lodge #2180, a coach for the Jamesburg Girls Softball Team and past treasurer of the Jamesburg Public Library. She played softball for 38 years and started the first women's softball league in Jamesburg. Mrs. Neumyer enjoyed pinochle, crocheting, puzzles, crosswords, gardening and camping. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, James, her two daughters Lynn Foderaro of Gloucester, VA and Dawn Reynolds and her husband Rick of Jamesburg, her two sons Scott and his wife Sharon of Spotswood and Todd and his wife Judey of Jamesburg, her two sisters Georgia Straub of Harrisburg and Wendy Messner of Camp Hill, PA, her brother Ron and his wife Melanie of Camp Hill, PA, eight grandchildren J.R., Michele, Jamie, Amber, Shawn, Lexi, George and Caitlin and four great grandchildren. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Tuesday April 18th from 6-9 p.m. at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jamesburg Volunteer First Aid Squad or the Elks Special Children Fund.
