Milana Bell Borsuk Lortz Obituary (1950

Milana Bell Borsuk Lortz, 67 passed away at CentraState Medical center on Sunday December 24th after a long bout with cancer. Born in Staten Island NY, Ms. Lortz resided in Monroe Township, NJ most of her life. She was employed at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown and Bayada Nurses in NJ as a state certified CNA/CHHA. She was awarded "Hero of the Quarter" for saving the lives of 3 of her patients in one week. She was a dedicated professional who always gave 100% every day to her patients and especially those in Hospice care. Milana loved her family and friends and was always there to help anyone in time of need. She had a passion for baking and cooking and anyone who knew her was always looking forward to her surprising them with her culinary expertise. She was very active in the community and past president of the Applegarth Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Jamesburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Local County Auxiliary and Life Member of the State Auxiliary of NJ. Predeceased by her parents Milan Borsuk and Audrey Bell Craig Borsuk and her eldest brother Richard "Butch" Borsuk. Surviving are her loving children Milan Lortz and Erin Lortz, her youngest brother Dale Borsuk, her significant other Walter Wapshare Jr. and her nieces; Laura Beth Holtz, Lisa Runyon and nephew Richard Borsuk, Jr. as well as 5 great nephews and 3 great nieces. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday December 29th at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Burial will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
