As David's daughter, Angie, it is with deep love and admiration that I share the news of the passing of my father, David Freese Jr., born on December 26, 1971, in New Brunswick, NJ. Known for his humility, love, humor, and resilience, my father was a beacon of strength and joy for everyone fortunate enough to know him. His infectious laughter and quick wit could brighten even the darkest days. He was a man who always put others first, especially his family, with me being his pride and joy.
David was a man of many interests and passions. He held a long-standing position as a custodian, a role he approached with as much dedication and diligence as he did the rest of his life. In his free time, he indulged in a vast array of hobbies ranging from playing video games and collecting vintage games to watching found footage films and studying demonology, history, and astronomy. These interests were a testament to his curiosity and his desire to continue learning and exploring, even when life was tough. David was a man of faith, and his favorite Biblical verse, "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4) was a testament to his unwavering faith and trust in God.
David is survived by his father, David Sr. and his wife Katherine; his brothers Thomas with his significant other Catherine, Eric with wife Ashley, and Adam with wife Nadya; his daughter, Angie; his nephew Owen; his nieces McKenna and Sierra; and his uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Christopher and his beloved mother Joan. Though his passing was sooner than expected, he lived a fulfilling life. He will be missed dearly, and his story will live on through his family and friends.
